IJIRA is working on development of Retrofit for conventional Jute SD Spinning frame in order to meet the present industrial requirement of sustainable production. This technology is an amalgamation of four inter weaved automated technologies where Flyer, Bottom Roller, Top & Mid draft roller and Builder mechanism can be controlled by different motors. To achieve the perfect automation in spinning mechanism, these four mechanisms have been synchronised by using a microcontroller system. This technology will enable industry to adjust Flyer RPM, TPI (Twist per inch), Draft(attenuation ratio of front and back roller) and traverse speed as per requirement instantaneously with a HMI (Human Machine Interface).
All the machine parameters (RPM, Draft, Twist, Traverse speed) are actually the derivatives of speed ratios of the spinning rollers. To enable the automation, these roller driving mechanisms have been separated from each other and driven individually. These spinning rollers are driven seperate motors where two induction motors are used for driving the flyer and Bottom roller respectively and two other servo motor are used to drive Top roller and Traverse motion. Now to obtain different speed ratios between these rollers,as and when required, the speed of these motors is varied by using VFD system (variable frequency Drive ) for induction motors and servo drive system are used to vary the speed and torque of two servo motors.
Now to achieve a perfect synchronization between these roller speed during any parameter change, all these motor speed have been synchronised by a PLC (Programmable logic controlled) system through microcontroller.
